T.W. Lewis:
The Bridge program is awesome!  Why you may ask?  Well let me tell you.  I am a leader for a Cub Scout group out in Queen Creek.  The boys do their best each and every month to earn achievements to gain rank in the Cub Scouting program; whether it be for Bobcat, Wolf, Bear, or their Webelows award.  Each month we hold an awards ceremony where we pull them up in front of everybody and give them the different awards that they have earned over the last month.  We are only given a 500 dollar budget for the entire year to do these awards which we have to buy from the Boy Scout shop, and other activities throughout the year.  To also compound it we are only allowed to do one fund raising activity a year to earn extra money for the account.  But this year we were given 1500 dollars because of the bridge fund and pool.  We are now able to supply the boys with new neckerchiefs each time they move up in rank ( Wolf, Bear, ect) instead of the parents having to buy them.  We have started giving them more awards that we were not able to afford before, and have really been able to step up the activities that we do both in out pack and den meetings.  The leaders have all appreciated it as much as the boys and it has really been able to help to make the award ceremonies more fun and interesting giving the kids a little more motivation to earn their way through the ranks.
